Work and play are often thought to be completely separate domains, which is why I was particularly struck by Vineet Nayar’s recent article in the Harvard Business Review, Three Leadership Traits that Never Go Out of Style

With brevity and great sincerity, Nayar brilliantly illustrates how trust, empathy and mentorship are the building blocks to great leadership.  These are things he learned from the “leader of the pack,” a boy not much older than himself, who intuitively demonstrated these qualities while playing in the park with his friends.

But don’t despair: leadership can be learned!  If you are currently in a leadership role or aspiring to be a leader someday, this is a must read.  To read Nayar’s blog, click here.
