Do you have a favorite go-to closing gift for your clients? Most agents do, but it might be time to shake up the routine and leave an extra special impression post-closing. Try one of these next time you seal the deal:

  • Throw the new homeowners a catered dinner party once they’ve settled in! Not only will they appreciate the fact that their first party in the new house is taken care of for them, but they’ll also have even more motivation to get their home unpacked and decorated that much quicker
  • Give the buyers a reason to toast to their home every month, by gifting them a bottle of wine for each of the first twelve months in their new abode. This gives them an excuse to celebrate their home and accomplishments every month, no excuses. Start and end with a bottle of bubbly to make the beginning and end of the year particularly special. If you’re feeling really creative, make custom labels for the wine bottles with the family’s picture or the couple’s monogram, along with your logo and signature.
  • Encourage them to explore their new neighborhood with a gift certificate to your favorite local eatery! Include your recommendations from the menu, and if it’s a restaurant that has played a key role in the community for years, perhaps you also include a brief history of it so the buyers become more familiar with the town or neighborhood’s culture. Plus, they’ll appreciate the fact that they don’t have to go searching for a good restaurant while trying to get settled in.
