The holidays will be here before we know it – have you started your gift list yet? Whether you’re just gearing up on holiday shopping or finally winding down, finding the perfect gift for everyone is not always easy.
This year, we wanted to help make the gift giving process just a bit easier by sharing our go-to gifts for four of the most common types of homeowners. Skip the scented candle aisle this year and try one of these more personal presents:
- First Time Homeowners – Welcome these loved ones into their new home with a basic tool box kit. It doesn’t need to be expensive, however, it can be should you choose – good tools can last a lifetime. Be sure to include a hammer, hacksaw, pliers, screwdrivers and a tape measure!
- Relocating Homeowners – For the people in your life who have just relocated, gifting something local from their new community is a great idea. Do some research to figure out what the best restaurant in the area is, then send them a gift card for dinner on you.
- Baby Boomers – Get the more senior homeowners in your life a simple, easy-to-use smart home monitor. This will help them to keep an eye on every room within their home and the property surrounding their homes, making sure they feel safe and secure all year round.
- Downsizing Homeowners – People who have just downsized rarely want more “stuff.” Instead, gift them your favorite space-saving organization system or something for the outside of their home – a gift card to a local nursery or a low-maintenance outdoor plant for their yard.
